Our Teacher: Yogi Bhajan

Yogi Bhajan left his physical body on Wednesday October 6th of 2004, due to a heart failure. He was 75 years old. Though he died young, in his lifetime he touched millions of people with his teachings of Kundalini Yoga; he transformed people by inspiring them to change their lifestyles.

Yogi Bhajan still continues to be a fountain of inspiration, knowledge, and a guide towards the perfect equilibrium between the material and spiritual wealth. He was able to transmit through his teachings the tools for a happy life.

Yogi Bhajan was the first one to teach Kundalini Yoga and White Tantric Yoga in the West. In September of 1968 he started giving Kundalini Yoga lessons in North America. After a couple of years he was able to create, with the help of his followers, organizations that promoted his teachings and Kundalini Yoga in the U.S.A.: 3HO, K.R.I., IKYTA International and Sikh Dharma Intenrnational, all with offices across the world.

The spread of Kundalini Yoga in the last forty years has been amazing, as it is the ability of Kundalini Yoga to transform lives through meditation and yoga.

There are a lot of biographies and stories about Yogi Bhajan, however it is important to remember,as he said: “I am my teachings. Read them, practice them, and you will know them.”
